Reading Tips:

The Following steps are suggested for your reading.

  1. Read vocabulary (new words) before reading a text. Please note that the most commonly used 1000 words are not included in the New Words List.
  2. Listen to the audio to see how much you can understand it.
  3. Read the text. Text is presented online in several versions - original text, segmented text, and text with pinyin. You can select one according to your needs.
  4. If you have difficulty in reading the text, then copy and paste it into the window of Clavis Sinica  to study.
  5. After reading the text, go over the grammar notes.
  6. Listen to the audio again to see whether your comprehension has improved.
  7. Do homework - exercises
