         欢迎您来到我们的网上课堂。网上课堂是为协助那些想学中文或继续学中文, 但因工作等原因无法来到实际课堂的人士而设立的。 我们这个学期的学习以联合国为主要内容。虽然联合国是大家所熟悉的主题， 但是，您也许不曾阅读过任何用中文介绍联合国的文章或联合国文件中文本。 这个学期我们将一起来学习用中文阅读“联合国”。

        每星期五，我们会把每课的内容及作业登在网上，您则需要最迟于每星期四把完成后的作业用电子邮件寄给林老师。林老师阅改后也同样用电子邮件的方式寄回您。 您在学习过程中如有任何问题或建议可随时与她联系。

        希望大家有一个愉快且收获不小的学期。

Hello，Everyone!

         Welcome to our Online Course. This course is set up to assist those who would like to learn or continue learning Chinese, but could not come to the actual classroom due to their busy schedule. The theme of this term is the United Nations. Although this is a familiar topic for us, you may not have read any articles about the UN or UN documents in Chinese. This term, we are going to learn reading the "U.N." in Chinese together.

         Every Friday, a new lesson will be posted on the website, with homework assigned. You are expected to send your completed homework to the Instructor, Ms. Lin, by the following Thursday at the latest. Homework, once reviewed, will be returned to you via email, together with comments by Lin Laoshi. Should you have any questions or suggestions, please contact her at any time.

       Hopefully, all of you taking the class will have a fun and rewarding time with the course.
